Environmental protection and sustainable management of natural resources as well as the enforcement of rational use of water supplies for saving irrigation water are two of the main objectives of RDP.
The project refers to the supply and installation of electronic water abstraction systems with the use of rechargeable cart in default positions of the irrigation net of Velventos Local Organization of Land Improvement, who was the beneficiary of the project. The application aims at controlling possible irregular use of the irrigation net, facilitating net surveillance and saving amounts of valuable water and energy as well as time and labor in favor of the farmers, since their physical presence at their farms is not required.
