The support structure of the National Rural Network (NRN), Unit E of the Managing Authority RDP 2007-2013 shall perform the nationwide competition for the purpose of awarding the best projects co-funded by the RDP 2007-2013.

The award process will not simply be a contest, but will aim to raise awareness of the quality of the projects implemented and funded by the RDP 2007-2013, their results and effort rewards and their success. For the identification of projects to be awarded the Structure and the Steering Committee of NRN have identified the following categories:

• Innovation and rural development
• Youth Entrepreneurship
• Improving the quality of life in rural areas

Three projects for each category will be selected by the relevant evaluation committees, based on standard and quality evaluation criteria.

Award

The projects selected will ultimately be awarded honorary award at the event. At the same time, the winners will receive publicity through the websites and publications, of both the NRN and the European Network for Rural Development, to inspire by example the potential beneficiaries in the country and in other Member States of the EU.
